Audrey Tautou
Audrey Tautou in Beaumont Puy De Domme, France, was born on the 9th August, 1976. Audrey was the eldest child out of 4. The actress was inspired by her parents, dentist and a teacher and both of them were teachers. They encouraged her to pursue her passion for theatre. This was in contrast to an earlier desire to pursue a career as a primateologist since she was a fan of monkeys. She rose to prominence as a child actress quickly and achieved great success. After completing her studies and acting, she appeared on the French show for spotting talent Jeunes Premiers which was sponsored by Canal+. She won the Most Outstanding Young Actress award at Beziers Festival of Young Actors and started her acting career. Tautou attended church and the Institut Catholique de Paris during her childhood, but she has since gotten rid of her childhood. She has pursued a modeling career along with her acting career. She is the face of L'Oreal Mont Blanc and Chanel frequently referred to as the Chanel Muse. Photographing is also a passion and she recently exhibited her work in the Arles festival, under the title Superficial. Photography of her is primarily focused on celebrity and fame, and then turns her camera to the journalists who scrutinised her after her meteoric rise to fame as Amelie as well as a series of self-portraits. Audrey Tautou shot to stardom as well as international recognition with her first big role, starring as the lead in The Fabuleux Destin d'Amelie Pouulain. Amelie has been a box office hit internationally and praised at many award festivals around the globe. The film is still the highest-grossing French film in the US. The film's success brought Tautou into a wide range of roles, from British dramas such as Dirty Pretty Things by Stephen Knight and Jean Pierre Jeunet to Hollywood's The Da Vinci Code with Tom Hanks.
