Sara Ramirez
Sara Ramirez was born in Mexico. She is an American Mexican actor. She sings as well. Sara Ramirez was brought up by her American mother and faced a lot racial taunts and made her feel unwelcome. In the 9th grade, she felt more comfortable after she was praised by her teachers for her performance at school's audition. Not only did it boost her confidence but her dreams transformed. She was a graduate of New York's Julliard School at the age of 22. She started her professional journey at age 23 with Paul Simon's The Capeman on Broadway and the film You've Got Mail. But her biggest break came when she appeared in the role of The Lady of The Lake in the very first Broadway show Spamalot winning not just the Tony Award for her performance as well as a lot of critical praise. In the following year, she was cast as Dr. Callie Torres in ABC's Grey's Anatomy. This led to her becoming more famous. She is also a known singer and has published an extended version of her play. In addition, she is an LGBT activist.
