Reese Witherspoon seriously pursued her acting profession after she enrolled at Stanford University. Early successes in her acting career included films such as Pleasantville and Election However, her character in Elle Woods was the turning point for her. Witherspoon was awarded her first Academy Award in 2005 for her role as Elle Woods in Walk the Line. Her most recent films also include Water for Elephants This Means War and Wild for which she received yet another Oscar nomination. Witherspoon's success also extended into television. She was a co-star in David E. Kelley's award-winning TV show Big Little Lies and a producer. The early 2000s saw her begin her professional career by playing minor television parts. in the comedic The Invisible Man, 2003 she debuted in a major feature film. After that she would go on to be a part of a variety of TV shows, including House of Lies Whitney and Better Call Saul. Also, she was in two films The Dictator and The Incredible Burt Wonderstone. In addition to her acting profession, she's also an accomplished painter and exhibits her work at numerous galleries.
