Anna Leigh Ashford

Annaleigh Amanda Ashford, an American singer-dancer and actress. Early Broadway roles are Wicked Legally Blonde & Hair. In You Can't Take It With You She was the recipient of the Tony Award as Best Featured actress in an Play. Annaleigh Ashley Tony Award winning actor and actress has collaborated with directors and actors in stage and on screen throughout all of her career. Ashford's upcoming project is a limited-edition Hulu show called Welcome to Chippendales, created by Robert Siegel. The show premieres on November 22, and Ashford is starring alongside Kumail Najiani. Ashford is currently in the making for Searchlight Pictures' terror thriller Dust with Sarah Paulson. The film is an Hulu Original and will be streamed on Disney DTC. Ashford's Broadway return is scheduled to take place in the month of March 2023, when he stars opposite Josh Groban for the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre revival of Stephensondheim's Sweeney Todd. The same team that created Hamilton producers Jeffrey Seller and director Thomas Kail will be at the control of the show. Ashford has been seen most recently as Paula Jones in Ryan Murphy FX series American Crime Story Impeachment. The show centers around the National Crisis which put Paula Jones Monica Lewinsky Linda Tripp in the middle of the first impeachment proceeding in America during the Over an Century. Her two-season stint on the CBS show B Positive was her first major part. The show was written by Marco Pennette, Chuck Lorre and Linda Lavin. It also had Ben Vereen and Elizondo. Sunday in the Park with George Wicked legally blonde and the original role of Lauren in Kinky Boots were among her other Broadway roles. Her birthplace and childhood was in Denver Ashford is now dividing her time between Los Angeles and New York.
